1792 Catalogue Description

From the head of a statue in the Museum Pio-Clementinum. This statue was found in company with seven other Muses Apollo Citharoedus and a figure of Sleep in the Oliveto del Dottor de Matthias called the Pianella di Casilio near Tivoli. See Museo Pio-Clementino p. 39. Tavola xx.
